Life to Itself
CIAP – Centre international d’art et du paysage
June 13th, 2021 - September 05th, 2021
From June 13 to September 5, the Centre for Art and Landscape – CIAP Vassivière presents Life to Itself. Opening of the exhibition to the public when sanitary measures will permit.
Life to Itself is a group exhibition that transforms over time: the works produced specifically for the project are designed to react and change in relation to the life of the site. Sensitive, they compose together a ghostly organism that comes alive to the rhythm of the island and its inhabitants.
Among the 7 artists invited to this group exhibition, the Canadian artist Rochelle Goldberg (Vancouver, Canada) presents her work Digesting Gold, 2018.
Rochelle Goldberg was born in 1984 in Vancouver, Canada. She lives and works between New York and Berlin. Recent solo exhibitions: Psychomachia at Miguel Abreu Gallery in New York ; Gatekeepers at Catriona Jeffries Gallery à Vancouver ; Born in a Beam of Light at the Power Station in Dallas…
Invited artists: Isabelle Andriessen, Bianca Bondi, Dora Budor, Tiphaines Calmettes, Grégory Chatonsky, Rochelle Goldberg, Laure Vigna
Curator: Flora Katz
Exhibition produced with the support of the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris.
