And for this new edition, the Canadian Cultural Centre is proud to invite you to the screening of Beans by Mohawk director Tracey Deer!
Book your seats for March 22 at 8pm at Cinéma Les 3 Luxembourg!
As the Mohawk Nation defends its ancestral lands during the Oka crisis in the summer of 1990, twelve-year-old Beans is torn between the innocence of childhood and the bubbling awakening of adolescence, forced to grow up quickly to become a brave Mohawk warrior.
Winner of the Emerging Talent Award at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2020, director Tracey Deer drew on her own childhood memories of the Oka crisis to write and shoot Beans.
The complete lineup is on the FICEP website.
