Standing concert
The embodiment of power, energy and femininity, SATE has forged an impressive reputation around the world thanks to her “stunning stage presence” (Now Magazine) and her signature sound: raw, moving, riff-laden rock and roll.
After securing a nomination for the 2022 Juno Awards and a place on the 2022 Polaris Music Prize shortlist for her album The Fool, SATE is continuing her ascent!
With a keen interest in astrology, numerology and tarot, this album is the culmination of a lifetime spent immersing himself in music in all its forms and nuances. The Fool is a tribute to the hero of the card game, the Fou. Among other things, it evokes the beginnings, the trust and absolute faith in the universe that drives us to leap into the unknown.
The daughter of Canadian blues and jazz pioneer Salome Bey, SATE learned her craft from countless music legends who passed through Toronto during her childhood. She soon found her own voice, turning to the sounds and attitudes of punk and hard rock that shaped her identity.
