A performance that blends theater and radio drama. An invitation to listen in order to better see the Far North – free from clichés and portrayed from he inside.

Aalaapi means “to be silent in order to hear something beautiful” in Inuktitut, one of Canada’s main Inuit languages.

On stage, a house, two women from Nunavik, in northern Quebec, going about their daily lives. A radio sits prominently in the center, playing an audio documentary: five young women share the story of their lives straddling the North and the South – intimate portraits sketched through words, sound, and silences.
