Canadian author Alice Munro is being honoured by “A Season of Nobel” after her recent Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013. The event takes place in the presence of Horace Engdahl, a member of the Nobel Academy.
On this occasion, a reading of the short story Free Radicals from the collection Trop de bonheur will take place in English by Alexandra Stewart and in French by Anny Romand and Damien Gouy.
Compared by some to a Canadian Chechov, Alice Munro distinguishes herself by a subtle short story art marked by a clear style and psychological realism.
