On the occasion of the publication of the book Re: vers une histoire mineure des performances et des exhibitionsBAXTER& RE brings together pieces rarely seen in France and a selection of works-documents. A presentation of the book in the presence of the publishers, authors and, virtually, IAIN BAXTER& will take place on Saturday, September 6, from 4–8 p.m.

The oeuvre of Iain Baxter, from the early 1960s in Vancouver to the present, is clearly related the conceptual movement, but is too independent to identify with it completely. Using diverse vocabularies – photography, installation, publishing, communications, advertising – carried out using the names IT, N.E. Thing Co., Iain Baxter and now IAIN BAXTER&, this practice is marked by a personal understanding of the versatility of the object and the work.
