The group Avec Pas D’Casque was formed after an encounter between a suitcase drum, a cheap guitar and an unexpected kick up the backside that they are still grateful for years later. Since its inception, the group has explored intimacy using lo-fi folk/country/grunge sounds and colourful lyrics. Made up of Stéphane Lafleur (guitar / vocals), Joël Vaudreuil (drums), Nicolas Moussette (base/lap steel) and Mathieu Charbonneau (baryton), the group released its third album Astronomie, an atmospheric and intimate folk record inspired by the colours of the night, in 2012.

Critically acclaimed and a hit with the public, Avec Pas D’Casque have won several prizes, including the Félix award for album of the year in Quebec. Their new album Dommage que tu sois pris is intended to be a complement to Astronomie, and also features the folk/country influences for which the group is famous.
