Émile Proulx-Cloutier is known to the general public for his television and film roles. But in recent years, Émile has revealed himself as a gifted singer-songwriter who is extremely touching. The Canadian public and the media are won over, even captivated, by his talent, naturalness and charisma.
Émile Proulx-Cloutier presents Aimer les monstres, his first album of songs for which he wrote the lyrics and music. Émile transports us into a rich sound and musical universe where the sumptuous arrangements become a setting, a backdrop accompanying each of his characters in their story, their quest. Émile says of his songs that “they are condensed lives, epics of real or invented characters. From one song to the next, the “I” changes: a child, an old man, a woman, a madman. They all have an immense thirst for life, but don’t always know how. Through them, I say what I’ve never told anyone before. »
Poetry, sensitive and imaginative, is at the heart of these paintings, each as moving and captivating as the next. It has been a long time since one had heard and read such a quality of text, such a feather.
