Petite Reine
March 09th, 2016 20:00 - 22:00
Wednesday, March 9, 8 p.m.
Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, Paris
Julie, star of cycling, is two races away from winning the World Cup. It is the culmination of years of sacrifice and effort, carried out with the help of her coach, her parents – and her doctor. To realize her dreams, Julie takes performance-enhancing drugs.
Inspired by the true story of Geneviève Jeanson, star of female cycling at the age of 20, The Little Queen explores the mysteries of professional sport through a descent into hell, that of an athlete on EPO. A real sucker punch of a film.
A film by Alexis Durand Brault / Canada / 2014 / 108 min. / French
Attention, this projection will take place at the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, 127-129 rue Saint-Martin, Paris.
