This year, the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence celebrates the bicentennial of Verdi’s birth. On this occasion, the Canadian opera director Robert Carsen will offer up his version of the famous Rigoletto. The seduction of Helen, the fury of Electra and the despair of Rigoletto will resound in Aix-en-Provence until July 26.
