Leaving one’s country and sexiling is felt as a tear but with time, it becomes more complicated when one gradually discovers the gap between what one has become and those who continue to live in the country. This is precisely the kind of feeling that the hero of Un, a play by Iranian playwright and actor Mani Soleymanlou.
An autobiographical monologue, Un is a show that deals with the issue of identity and loss of self, but in a comedy tone. Born in Iran, Mani Soleymanlou currently lives in Montreal after having spent time in Paris, Toronto and Ottawa.
