Chloé Dumoulin has an international career that has already taken her to Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. She made her debut at the Maison symphonique de Montréal (2021) and has performed at Carnegie Hall, St James’s Piccadilly (London) and the Festival de Lanaudière, among others. Winner of Third Prize at the Prix d’Europe Competition and the Canimex Grand Prix, she is a faculty member at Domaine Forget and Orford Musique. She completed an Artist Diploma at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 2025, where she is now a Junior Fellow. Her debut album, “Nouveau lyrisme”, was released by Leaf Music in June 2025.
Named one of the “30 hottest Canadian classical musicians under 30” by the CBC, pianist Chloé Dumoulin is establishing herself as one of the most promising artists of her generation. Renowned for her sensitive, masterful and deeply expressive playing, she stands out for her “impressive mastery of the instrument” (Le Soleil) and her “praiseworthy sense of suspense” in her musical narration. Her playing is acclaimed for its nuanced timbre and expressive power.
This programme explores the expressive freedom of two giants of the piano. In Schubert’s work, we touch upon the intimacy of the soul, moving between spiritual contemplation and folk rhythms. Liszt’s Sonata in B minor redefines the instrument’s limits. A monumental work performed in a single breath, it transforms a few thematic motifs into an intense psychological drama. Combining transcendent virtuosity with profound meditation, this musical journey offers an infinite palette of emotions, capable of transporting both music lovers and newcomers alike.
- Schubert: Musical Moments, D. 780, Op. 94
- F. Liszt, Sonate pour piano en si mineur, S.178
