David Altmejd Flux
October 10th, 2014 - February 01st, 2015
Musée d’Art moderne de la ville de Paris
The exhibition Flux is the first retrospective in France of the work of Montreal sculptor David Altmejd. The artist’s approach to sculpture is characterized by the diversity of the materials used, revealing a long interest in the natural sciences and architecture.
The exhibition is presented as a work in itself, with sometimes anthropomorphic and animal creatures: half-plant, half-mineral hybrids that ignore the real architecture of the museum and deploy their spidery labyrinth.
