« Directed Lie Project » de Paulette Phillips
September 14th, 2011 - October 29th, 2011
In partnership with the Canadian cultural centre
In July the gallery Michèle Chomette was closed during ten days because it had become a place of secret interrogations, managed by the Canadian artist Paulette Phillips using some lie detector’s tests!
Following these interrogations the artist developed her exhibition; Directed Lie Project, presented for the first time in Paris. Through this exhibition, the artist invites the spectators to discover and to understand the body’s various attitudes in front of truth and lie, transposed to art environment.
Paulette Phillips, born in 1956 in Halifax (Canada), lives and works at Toronto. She’s a teacher at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Her artistic work is about theater, video performance and plastic installation.
