The Canadian Robert Carsen will be directing the new production of Elektra at the Opéra National de Paris for the 2013–14 season. Richard Strauss’ one-act tragedy revisiting the tragic story of the Atreides by Sophocles is one of the major operatic works of the early twentieth century.
