Festival international de films «Pêcheurs du monde»
March 24th, 2010 - March 27th, 2010
At Lorient
Two Canadian documentaries are part of this festival: Phoques: Le film by Raoul Jomphe and Naufrages by Paul-Émile d’Entremont.
Phoques: Le film opens the festival, setting out the points of view of the Magdalen islanders on the thorny question of the seal hunt. Naufrages tells the story of the shipwrecks of the Lady Doriane and Lady Audette in the Acadian peninsula in the early 1970s and recounts the painful repercussions of this catastrophe on the survivors.
