Jamais Lu Paris
An intercultural theatrical exchange between Canada and France
Théâtre Ouvert
October 28th, 2022 - October 30th, 2022
Jamais Lu has been shaking up the ecology of fiction on two continents for over 20 years. The meeting allows new texts by French authors to emerge in the context of an intercultural exchange with Quebec.
The concept? 5 Canadian stage directors come to meet 5 French authors. For a week, they cross swords and put the writings to the test on stage for the very first time, until they are given voice by a fervent troupe of actors. From this clash of cultures emerges an explosive scan of our world, shared with the audience.

In addition to these readings, Canadian author Marianne Dansereau, with the staging of Philippe Canales, will present a first draft of her work following a two month writing residency in Paris.
These three days of festivities will end with a political-poetic cabaret, which will allow the discovery of languages that are not tied to current issues, and the mix of Quebec and French writing. Infos
