The day that Madeleine discovers the liberation, after 17 years in prison, of a Chinese journalist accused of having thrown paint at a portrait of Mao, her life collapsed.
The Quebec playwright Carole Fréchette explores the relationship between politics and private life in her play Je pense à Yu, the story of a Chinese man who sacrificed his life for a symbolic gesture.
