« Joue le jeu » at the Gaîté Lyrique
June 21st, 2012 - August 12th, 2012
All summer long the Gaîté Lyrique presents Joue le jeu, featuring the new narrative forms and innovative aesthetics of games from around the world. A far cry from a static retrospective, Joue le jeu puts the spotlight on interactive games – somewhere between video games, board games, social games and construction sets.
The exhibition will be giving Canada pride of place since Lynn Hughes and Cindy Poremba, two of the three curators of the exhibition, are Canadian. The installation by Canadian collective Daily tous les jours invites you to slip into the skin of an operetta character for a few moments. Papo y Yo, a new game by Vander Caballero, leader of the Canadian video-game community will also be presented.
