Quebec literature in the spotlight
Prix du Jeune Ecrivain de Muret

Originally conceived to celebrate the winners of the Prix du Jeune Écrivain (short story competition), the Young Writers’ Week is now a literary week open to all, dedicated to young writers and the discovery of emerging Francophone fiction. The Young Writers’ Week features 30 events in 15 towns and cities in the suburban and rural areas of South Toulouse and Occitanie (France).
This new edition celebrates the creativity of the Quebec literary scene, with a programme of conversations, readings in music, concerts and screenings, and the presence of several Quebec authors.
The lineup includes:
- Preview of the film Chien blanc by Quebec director Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette at Cinéma Véo in Muret – March 21 at 8.30pm
- Round table discussion on First Nations in Canada with the magazine Natives and Pessamit Innu author Natasha Kanapé Fontaine at the Cave Poésie in Toulouse – Monday 25 March
In the presence of Quebec authors Monique Proulx, Antoine Desjardins and Kiev Renaud.
