In 2013, an ancient statue of Apollo was found off Gaza before disappearing under strange conditions. Counterfeiting or blessing of the gods for a Palestinian people in need of hope and recognition?
Rumours soon fly while, various local and international players intervene behind the scenes to either preserve the statue or benefit from it.
Shot in Gaza and Jerusalem, The Apollo of Gaza is an archeological thriller that unfolds like an investigative film. It follows the footsteps of those who dream of thisnational treasure that quickly becomes the object of all greed.
