Art in motion
FIFA on tour in Europe
Centre culturel canadien
October 10th, 2023
20:00 - 21:30
On Tuesday, October 10 at 8pm, the Canadian Cultural Centre invites you to a special evening of film screenings around dance and “art in motion”. Discover a selection of works presented during the last edition of the Montreal International Festival of Films on Art (Le FIFA)!
For too long, art in motion has been reserved for bodies that have been normalised by a set of restrictive rules, leading to an idealisation and a representation of aesthetic, technical and performative “perfection”. Yet each body is a vehicle that is both intimate and political. This programme shows us fabulous bodies and minds in all their variety, expression and poetry, and celebrates the diversity that is also ours.
In the presence of Philippe U. del Drago, General and Artistic Director of FIFA.
For nearly 40 years, Le FIFA has been dedicated to the promotion and international influence of film on art and media arts in Canada.

We follow the creative process of dancers from Montreal, joined by dancers from Morocco. More than an artistic residency, Lila presents the meeting between men who question their sensitivity, the relationship with their male bodies, and the identity questions of a choreographer at the crossroads of several worlds.
