June 14th, 2017 - June 16th, 2017
The Association Française d’Études Canadiennes (AFEC), in collaboration with the Laboratoire de Recherche sur les Cultures Anglophones (LARCA) of the Université Paris-Diderot and the Embassy of Canada in Paris, is organizing an international congress to explore the evolution of Canada and what defines it.
This conference intends to favour the historical perspective of the long term, by examining not only what defines Canada in 2017, but by comparing this with the way it was defined in 1867, at the time of Confederation, as well as in 1967, at the time of the centennial.
