On the occasion of the 255th anniversary of the death of Rameau, the Canadian opera director Robert Carsen will be presenting the famous opera Platée at the Opéra-Comique next season.
The queen of the swamps, the nymphomaniac Plataea is the victim of a cruel plot by Jupiter who wants to punish his jealous wife Juno with the help of Olympus and the raging elements.
