Semaine acadienne
Saint-Aubin-sur-mer
August 07th, 2026 - August 15th, 2026
A wind from Acadia will blow this summer on Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, Douvres-la-Délivrande, Carpiquet, Bény-sur-Mer, Bernières-sur-Mer, Luc-sur-Mer, Langrune-sur-Mer and Authie on the occasion of the 21st edition of La Semaine acadienne, the largest festival dedicated to Acadie in France (over 11 000 visitors). Created as a tribute to the Acadian soldiers who landed in Normandy on June 6, 1944, this event now celebrates the vitality of Acadian culture and is one of the must-see events of the summer on Côte de Nacre.
The program features various shows, commemorative ceremonies, documentary screenings, a vintage car parade, a themed day On life at the time of D-Day landings, a discovery rally, a 100% Canadian karaoke, workshops and storytelling stories for children on the theme of Acadia, a cooking workshop and an Acadian brunch, a Cajun dance, a guided historical walking tour, a historical cycling tour The North Shore, and exhibition on Mi’kmaq First Nation and on August 15, the celebration of the Acadian national day, the Grand Tintamarre on the seawall of Saint Aubin sur Mer.
