October 23rd, 2014
20:00 - 21:30
Fred Woods is a Quebec musician whose 2013 debut album Documenta is deeply rooted in the songwriting tradition, influenced by the atmospheric rock of Patrick Watson and Timber Timbre. Creating his own universe and attempting to go beyond the limits of contemporary folk, Woods makes music that is singular, intimate and melancholic. Live, accompanied by his musicians, Woods brings us into a world that is both sombre and luminous in which the gentle melody of the acoustic instruments blend with more powerful sounds.
