Within the framework of Les Rencontres de l’Écriture Musicale au Féminin, the Canadian Cultural Centre presents a concert by the trio PIANOANDCO featuring the work of Canadian music composer Isabelle Panneton. The concert will include a performance of Récifs coralliens, a new work for piano, violin and cello written by Isabelle Panneton for Les Rencontres de l’Écriture Musicale au Féminin.
The PIANOANDCO trio is made up of musicians Nathalie Négro (piano), Jean Christophe Selmi (violin) and Manuel Cartigny (cello). The concert will be followed by an opportunity to speak to the musicians and the composer.
Les Rencontres de l’Écriture Musicale au Féminin – February 8–17, 2012
A highpoint for PIANOANDCO, Les Rencontres de l’Écriture Musicale au Féminin explores the status of women composers through concerts, films, documentaries and debates. The 2012 edition focuses on Canada and will take place in Marseille (Cité de la Musique, Les Grands Terrains Laboratoire de Création, WAAW), at the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris, and at the Faculty of Music at the Université de Montréal.
