January 29th, 2013
20:00 - 21:30
Alejandra Ribera made herself noticed during the marvellous show in homage to Lhasa De Sela organized during the last Printemps de Bourges. With both Argentinean and Scottish origins, this English-speaking Canadian living in Montreal has woven a musical universe that resembles her, tinged with influences ranging from Edith Piaf to Tom Waits. She deploys a style that is both mixed and colourful, bathed by river songs in Spanish and English in a languorous and bewitching pop.
Accompanied by the talented producer and musician Jean Massicote (producer of Patrick Watson, Lhasa De Sela, Pierre Lapointe…) and his musicians, Alejandra Ribera comes to present a preview of her new album, La Boca for a concert in complete intimacy, the discovery of a voice that will leave no one indifferent.
