Colloquium “Sweeping Changes” – May 11, 2012, 2-5 p.m., admission free, reservation recommended, in English
This colloquium seeks to address the influence of feminist thought on art, both in France and elsewhere, and poses the following questions: Did the video and performance artists of the 1980s make sweeping changes? Is it now time to envisage further changes? The social, historical and regional contexts of the works exhibited at the Centre Culturel Irlandais will be discussed by writers, curators and the artists. All are welcome. Those who would like to take part in a short feminist action are invited to wear black.
