February 13th, 2025
19:00 - 20:30
As part of the exhibition Crossed Histories. Gae Aulenti, Ada Louise Huxtable, Phyllis Lambert, on Architecture and the City, the Canadian Cultural Centre presents the film by Franco-American filmmaker Teri Wehn-Damisch, winner of the Best Canadian Work Award at the 2007 Festival international du film sur l’art de Montréal.
Under the sign of Citizen Kane, this is the portrait of a free, ferocious and funny woman, driven by a passion for architecture that began with the adventure of Mies van der Rohe’s Seagram Building in New York, continued with the preservation of Old Montreal and culminated in the creation of the Canadian Centre for Architecture, unrivalled in the world.
2007 – 52′ – Philia Films, in coproduction with the National Film Board of Canada and Les Films de la Perrine
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Teri Wehn-Damisch and Phyllis Lambert, moderated by Catherine Bédard, curator and director of programming at the Canadian Cultural Centre
