A painter, writer and poet, Pierre Cornudet is also a musician. In the early 1980s, he played concerts across Canada. In 1986, he ended his musical career to devote himself to painting and staged many exhibitions of his work. Painting with acrylic on canvas, he uses a pointillist technique. He reinterprets famous works and produces more personal series on a wide variety of subjects. From 1980 to 1997, he signed his works using the pseudonym Anonyme Sanregret. The Espace Riquet is devoting a retrospective to the atypical artist in whose colourful and “naive” works a dark humour is much in evidence.
