The CIAC/Choeur de Lumière has invited the Canadian artist Carole Simard-Laflamme to display her work in the church of Saint Jean-Baptiste de Bourbourg.

On the same wavelength as Choir of Light by the British sculptor Sir Anthony Caro, Simard-Laflamme’s piece is imbued with an ethereal spirituality that is fluid and luminous. After Les robes du temps (The Dresses of Time), La robe des Nations (The Dress of Nations) and La robe cathédrale (The Cathedral Dress), presented in Paris under the aegis of UNESCO, at Illiers-Combray, Calais, Roubaix and Madrid, the monumental dresses become bodies in Bourbourg.

Bodies that become divine, both fragmented and unified. In parallel, Simard-Laflamme presents an exhibition-workshop focusing on interactivity with the public.
