As part of the Canadian Veterans’ Week and to mark Remembrance Day in Canada and France, we invite you to the Canadian Cultural Centre for the screening of the documentary “In their eyes”, on November 11 at 5pm.
Screening in the presence of the director, Arnaud Blin.
Marguerite and Rémy Cassigneul were barely 17 and 19 years old when the Allied Forces landed in Normandy on June 6, 1944. Canadians, young men not much older than them, arrived in the Juno Beach area to liberate them from German occupation.
“I was there…” – Marguerite and Rémy witnessed the D-Day. For them, it is not just a page in a history book, or a chapter in a documentary: D-Day is an essential part of their lives, which they share by telling their most striking memories.
