The Canadian Cultural Center is pleased to invite you to a concert “From the Red River to the Black Valley” : Musical variations between Gilles Chabenat (France) and Gérald Laroche (Manitoba, Canada)
In the context of a musical exchange between France and Manitoba organized by the Alliance Française du Manitoba, Gérald Laroche, Manitoban, musician-storyteller, multi-instrumentalist and Gilles Chabenat, French hurdy-gurdy player have been invited to create and original musical piece. Travelling was the creative force for both artists; the travels of foresters and mule carriers in the Black Valley (Berry) and those of the trappers and Voyageurs along the Red River.
