With Dioramas, the Palais de Tokyo invites visitors to discover an unexpected source of inspiration for contemporary artists: the diorama. The exhibition deconstructs the history of the gaze, at the crossroads of history, art history, cinema, the stage, folk and fairground arts, and the history of science and technology.

Known for his impressive pastiches of dioramas inspired by the traditional representation of Indians in natural history museums, Kent Monkman will be presenting a major work that will examine contemporary First Nations issues as part of Dioramas.
