Elisapie

A concert in which the Inuktitut language takes over the world and makes it its own.

Born in Salluit, a remote village in Canada’s far north, Elisapie has created a musical world unlike any other. A singer, activist, and symbol of Inuit pride, she sings in Inuktitut, English, and French—as many languages as there are territories she has traversed.

On her latest album, she has taken on rock and pop classics, reimagining them in her native language. Songs by Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, and Metallica are translated, infused with her spirit, and reinterpreted as fragments of a story that is both personal and shared.
