Karim Dabo

Karim Charles Dabo, a French-Canadian-Senegalese singer, guitarist and percussionist, is the embodiment of a global citizen who shakes up the world with his committed but humanist lyrics.

Singer, guitarist and percussionist, he explores his sensibility to create a unique and authentic bond with his audience. His lyrics are underpinned by acoustic instrumentation with a Western and African feel. “Natural acoustic music”, as Karim Dabo likes to call it.

The artist is the recipient of the prestigious Coup de cœur des Francofolies de Montréal Muz 2019 award and eight other awards, including Mundial Montréal (Festival Vue sur la relève, and Muz 2014). In June 2019 he was spotted on the international stage at the Montreal Jazz Festival, where he performed with singer Daby Touré.
