On tour in France

For over a decade, Constantinople has been exploring the oral traditions of Mediterranean cultures and the manuscript music of the Middle Ages. Some of the musical ensemble’s projects touch on the repertoires and practices of several countries belonging to the area extending from the Middle East to Mediterranean Europe, and even explore the music of the New World. The ensemble was awarded a prize for concert of the year for El Grito, El Silencio and Premiers Songes, by the Conseil Québécois de la Musique during the Opus awards gala in 2010.
