March 21st, 2024 - March 24th, 2024

AFFICHE A3 - festival du film canadien - 2024

From March 21 to 24, the 11th edition of the Dieppe Canadian Film Festival will feature films from all over Canada. This festival is the only one of its kind in Europe to represent the diversity of English, French and Indigenous Canadian cinema outside its borders, and the Canadian Cultural Centre has been a proud partner from the beginning!

Each year, the festival presents a wide range of films never before seen in France, reflecting the vitality of current Canadian film production. For this 2024 edition, festival-goers will have the opportunity to attend 27 screenings, presenting a selection of 18 feature films and 15 shorts.

“Sur la terre comme au ciel” will open the festival in the presence of director Nathalie Saint-Pierre, while Francis Leclerc’s “Le Plongeur” will close the event. Among the films in competition are “Dissidente” by Pier-Philippe Chevigny, “Ru” by Charles-Olivier Michaud, “Seagrass” by Meredith Hama-Brown, and the documentary “Waapake (Demain)” by Jules Arita Koostachin Ph.D… Check out the full programme!

This year, the festival continues its partnership with the Festival International du Cinéma Francophonie en Acadie, offering a carte blanche to the surprising and joyous music documentary “There’s a Star” by Acadian director Julien Cadieux.

Don’t miss the many meetings and round tables, as well as the Canadian Village at the heart of the Festival!
