Created in Montreal in 1985, Vues d’Afrique has become the foremost festival disseminating cultural content and in particular audiovisual productions about Africa, Creole countries and their diasporas.
In its 35th year, the festival will be held from 5 to 14 April in Montreal, the Canadian Cultural Centre will present the short film Evasion as well as the feature film Silas by Canadian director Anjali Nayar. Presented as a global story celebrating the power of individuals against corruption and the destruction of the environment, Silas shows the daily struggles of a young activist in Liberia and this new generation of resistance.
