For the first time, TV series are in the spotlight at the Canadian Cultural Centre! On Friday, October 15 at 7pm, join us in our auditorium for the screening of the 6 episodes of the Canadian series “For the Record”!

Screening of the series in English with French subtitles – Followed by a conversation with Canadian creator & director, Julian De Zotti.

Every song tells a story…
While most relationship stories are about people finding each other, For the Record starts with a break up and follows a couple on their path back together.
In the Pilot, Ray and Angela just split up and they’ve got one thing left to do: divvy up their prized vinyl collection. But one special album proves non-negotiable… Through 6 episodes, the series conspires to bring two soulmates back together – thanks to an interconnected cast of characters.
“Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by The Beach Boys,“Phobias” by Johnny Orlando, “Redemption Song” by Bob Marley, “I Feel It Coming” by The Weeknd, “Feelin’ Good” by Nina Simone and “Stars Tonight” by Zeds Dead… These iconic songs we all know and love, frame each episode and create links between the characters and their respective stories.

For The Record is a CBC Gem series and has played numerous festivals including its international premiere this Spring at SXSW
