From December 10, 2021 to April 15, 2022, the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris presents Decision Making as part of the official programme of Némo – International Biennial of Digital Arts of the Île-de-France Region produced by CENTQUATRE-PARIS, in partnership with Elektra (Montreal)

To inaugurate this new exhibition, join us on Thursday, December 9 at the Canadian Cultural Centre for the European premiere of INCERTITUDE: an audio-visual performance by artist Matthew Biederman (video) and curator and art director, Alain Thibault (audio).

By reservation:

INCERTITUDE is an audio-visual performance based on the Heisenberg principle of the same name. The work is a meditation on concepts that continue to baffle scientists, yet are the basis of our perception. An intense hypnotic journey using analog video and audio synthesizers as a source, manipulated and processed in real time by various digital processes, creating a unique experience during each performance.

In partnership with Paradise Art Space, Incheon and Elektra, Montréal.
Commissioned by Paradise Art Space (Incheon KR) for the exhibition Inscape.
Curator: Jay Bang. Coproduction:
ELEKTRA.

Alain Thibault
Curator and Artistic Director in the fields of digital contemporary art, electronic music and sound art, Alain Thibault is also the founder of two major events in Montreal, ELEKTRA – an annual festival showcasing performances in digital art since 1999, and the BIAN, International Digital Art Biennale, oriented towards exhibitions, installations and public art since 2012. As an electronic music composer, his works have been presented throughout the local and international scene in several contexts, namely contemporary music and digital art festivals in North-America (Canada, USA, Mexico), Europe (France, Italy, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium) and Asia (Japan, South-Korea, Taiwan).
