On May 25 at 8 pm, the Canadian Cultural Centre invites you to an online screening on our Facebook page of the film Innu Nikamu: Resist and Sing by Canadian director Kevin Bacon Hervieux.

Through the music that has accompanied the Innu throughout their history, Kevin Bacon Hervieux traces the fabulous adventure of the founders of the Innu Nikamu Indigenous Music and Arts Festival in Mani-Utenam in Quebec’s North Shore region. These musicians, artisans and collaborators gave hope to a people in distress, daring to believe that the challenge of reclaiming their culture and language was achievable.
Innu Nikamu: Resist and Sing was awarded the IRIS Award for Best Documentary Film at the 2019 Gala Québec Cinéma
