For this Parisian recital, Jack Campbell challenges the boundaries of the violin, featuring a plethora of works by Canadian and international legendary and emerging avant-garde composers on the stage of the Canadian Cultural Centre. Among them are Philip Glass, Kaija Saariaho, Rodney Sharman, Samuel Andreyev, Edward Top, Michael Selvaggi and Sean Quinn.
Born in 2002, Jack Campbell is a violinist, composer and a conceptual sound artist based in Vancouver, BC. He is a new music soloist, a member of two contemporary music chamber ensembles and an award recipient at the UBC School of Music, where he is pursuing a degree in Advanced Violin Performance. Jack Campbell works as Music Curator at the Vancouver Art Gallery and Assistant to the Director at Redshift Records. He hosts the radio program Breaking Barriers with Jack Campbelland is a member of the board of directors of Vancouver Pro Musica and the Yarilo Chamber Music Society.
