The Canadian Cultural Centre invites you to discover a rising musical star – Canadian violinist and composer Jack Campbell – during an exceptional concert on Tuesday, May 14, 2024!

For this Parisian recital, Jack Campbell challenges the boundaries of the violin, featuring a plethora of works by Canadian and international legendary and emerging avant-garde composers on the stage of the Canadian Cultural Centre. Among them are Philip Glass, Kaija Saariaho, Rodney Sharman, Samuel Andreyev, Edward Top, Michael Selvaggi and Sean Quinn.

Born in 2002, Jack Campbell is a violinist, composer, guitarist, and arts producer. He regularly works as a soloist, chamber musician and recording artist for LP, video, and sound installation. His compositional projects aim to build bridges between music and visual arts, dance, and theatre.
Jack Campbell has worked with a wide variety of arts organizations, including: Ballet BC, The Vancouver Art Gallery, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Redshift Music/ Records, Vancouver Pro Musica, UBC School of Music… He has worked creatively with many artists of note, including: Samuel Andreyev, Hank Bull, Esther Shalev Gerz, Rodney Sharman, Debra Sparrow, Jordan Nobles, Edward Top, Eric Wilson, Jasper Wood, Lam Wong, and others.
Highlights of his 2024 Season Include: a solo violin concert tour of Europe in Paris, London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Basel ; the premiere of a new ballet of his creation with the Ballet BC Emerging Artists ; continued collaborative work on reconciliation through music and art with Debra Sparrow ; the debut of a retrospective project on black and white painting assisted by the Paris Museum of Modern Art at the Vancouver Public Library.
