The Toronto band Kobo Town plays a mix of old-school calypso, ska and West Indian styles.

Founded by Trinidadian-Canadian songwriter Drew Gonsalves, Kobo Town refers to the historic of Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, where calypso was born. In addition to its music with its authentically Caribbean flavours, Kobo Town is also known for its hard-hitting and politically committed lyrics.

On the occasion of the release of its second album, Jumbie in the Jukebox, the group will beginning their first European tour in Toulouse, followed by a date in Paris. A Caribbean gem!
