«La bête lumineuse» un film de Pierre Perrault
September 24th, 2012
Documentary screening at MK2 Quai de Loire with “le rendez-vous des docs” (the meeting of the docs)
This new season of the Rendez-vous des docs will give pride of place to young filmmakers who will come, several times during the year, to show one of their short films and will choose a film from our catalogue to watch that will allow them to evoke their elective affinities and to claim their cinematographic filiations.
Monday 24 September – 8.30 pm “Pandore“, a film by Virgil Vernier France, 2010, Beta SP, 35 min.
“La bête lumineuse“, a film by Pierre Perrault Canada, 1983, Beta SP, 127 min.
In Quebec, three friends go moose-hunting. But the game is not always what you think it is… A hunting party as a metaphor for human relations, where the hunter is confronted with his baser instincts but also with the subli- mentation of his desires.
A meeting and debate with Virgil Vernier will take place between the two films.
