The theme of Canada’s Arctic Council chairmanship is “Development for the People of the North”. In this presentation, Mr. Borbey, Chair of the ARCTIC COUNCIL’s Senior Arctic Officials, will be addressing a number of questions. Among them, how can economic and social development be encouraged and done responsibly ? What are the priorities of Canada’s Arctic Council chairmanship ? How is the Arctic Council promoting responsible Arctic resource development, safe Arctic shipping and sustainable circumpolar communities ?
