Créateurs de liens de Francine Saillant et Fanny Hénon-Levy, 2019

Marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and in collaboration with the Festival international du film d’art de Montréal (FIFA), the Canadian Cultural Centre invites you to immerse yourself in the heart of therapeutic practices in art, music and dance. Through the eyes and experiences of French and Canadian artists, you will discover how they facilitate greater inclusion by combining artistic creation and social commitment for the well-being and health of people with disabilities or social fragility.

In partnership with the Montreal International Festival of Films on Art (artfifa.com) and as part of the International Day of Disabled Persons.

Programme :

L’Âge d’or
d’Eric Minh Cuong Castaing
France / 2019 /22 min
Prix du meilleur court métrage FIFA 2020

As part of a series of workshops, children with physical disabilities try out different dance techniques. Using virtual reality headsets, they are even able to see what dancers see. Somewhere between fiction and experimentation, this short film directed by the French choreographer Eric Minh Cuong Castaing  plunges us into a dreamlike and fantastical world peopled by demi-gods. A new golden age and a step outside the norm.
