October 01st, 2010 - October 03rd, 2010
On October 1–3, during the Semaine des cultures étrangères organized by the FICEP and in partnership with the Nuit Blanche, the Canadian Cultural Centre will be offering 40 hours of events in line with its past and future.
The eclectic programme features Canadian Perspective, an exhibition of the work of Iain Baxter&, one of the most important artists in our history who presented an exhibition at the Canadian Cultural Centre exactly 30 years ago, as well as a documentary exhibition featuring material from our archives; screenings of films – a selection of documentaries, television dramas and animated films by the National Film Board of Canada that were presented at the Cannes Film Festival and a presentation of prize-winning French-languages films from the Banff World Television Festival – a multimedia performance inspired by the theories of Marshall McLuhan, the centenary of whose birth will be celebrated in 2011; a presentation of Inuit culture and, to close the festivities, an evening of music featuring the DJs Walter Scassolini and Guillaume Van Roberge and VJs Pillow&Mademoiselle.
