COUVERTURE LIVRE MARIE EVE LACASSE

Encounter with Marie-Ève Lacasse on the occasion of the publication of Autobiographie de l’étranger (Éditions Flammarion, March 2020).

“At all times and in all places, I have often had this persistent feeling: being a stranger to the world. While I do everything to reduce this discomfort with more or less grace, most of the time sinking into the depths of shyness, I sometimes wonder, observing similar reactions in people, if this feeling is not, indeed, universally shared.”

Marie-Ève Lacasse explores in a tender and cruel way the interior territories, forged in memories and secrets, which feed the feeling of being a foreigner to her country, her family, her couple, her time.

Marie-Ève Lacasse was born in 1982 in Canada and has lived in France since 2003. In 2017, she published « Peggy dans les phares » at éditions Flammarion P.

The meeting with Marie-Ève Lacasse will be moderated by Kerenn Elkaïm, journalist specialized in literature at Livres Hebdo and followed by a signing session.
